About VisualResearch, Inc.
We are a Richmond, Virginia based research and information design firm that specializes in presenting complex information in easily understood, uncluttered formats. We focus on helping organizations integrate text, data, and pictures into high-quality “visual thinking” displays, websites, and printed reports.
Our firm has been serving clients nationally and internationally for 15 years. Our work has been used in various fields, including retail, banking, transportation, educational research, health and regulatory sciences, social sciences, and judicial systems.

Neal Kauder
President
Neal is the founder of VisualResearch, Inc. He is nationally recognized for his work in the areas of complex information design, research, and policy analysis. Neal conducts training seminars and presents at various conferences. Neal is also involved with day-to-day project activities: conducting research, writing reports, and creating data-based graphics and information displays.
Patrick Davis
Senior Research Associate
Patrick is a project manager and helps conceptualize large-scale projects by conducting complex data analysis, designing interactive spreadsheet applications, mapping, writing reports, and “deconstructing” websites. His experience in project management extends to a number of areas, including engineering, mathematics, business, performance measurement, and economics.
Kim Langston
Research Associate
Kimberly manages data collection efforts—including developing interview protocols and scaling techniques and creating and merging databases. She routinely conducts research and statistical analysis and assembles information graphics. She also conducts training sessions regarding new policies and procedures that are derived from research findings and recommendations. Her primary focus is on social sciences and in health regulatory policy development.
Daniel Regan
Art Director
Daniel manages and executes a variety of graphic design services, including all print and interactive designs. A graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Daniel brings formal design experience and is proficient in numerous software packages and development languages, including Adobe CS5 suite, xHTML, CSS, Javascript, and various CMS platforms (Content Management Systems). Daniel manages all printing services and interactive web implementation, search engine optimization, social media networking, branding, and information architecture.
Denise Overbey
Office Manager
Denise oversees all office management functions including accounts receivable, payroll, and all human resource functions.
Bryan Kauder
Research Analyst
Bryan works part-time for VR, Inc. while studying Statistics at Harvard University. Bryan assists with statistical analysis, database development, report writing, and data-based graphical design.
